Valentine, MD, M.Sc. is a doctoral candidate whose work bridges clinical cardiology and artificial intelligence. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in General Medicine from Lviv National Medical University and an M.Sc. in Digital Health from the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.

Valentine’s research centers on the development of responsible multimodal machine-learning models to predict outcomes in patients with valvular heart disease. He is particularly interested in harnessing non-traditional data streams—such as physiological signals from wearable technologies—to improve diagnosis, risk stratification and treatment planning across the cardiovascular care continuum. A core theme of his doctoral work is enhancing the transparency and explainability of these complex models, ensuring they can be safely interpreted and trusted by clinicians and patients alike.
