Application

You can subscribe to our mailing list if you would like to be informed about the opening of our application portal or the next open calls for MSc or PhD student application.

The application deadline for our 2024 cohort of MSc students ended middle of June (June 17, 2024 23:59 AOE). We will accept new applications for MSc scholarships (for students starting an MSc course some in spring or autumn of 2025) in the May / June 2025.
Reviewing will be done until end of July, a first round of offers sent in August. Runner-ups might be contacted as late as September.
Please note: relAI MSc students have to be inscribed in an MSc program in computer science, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences or other data science/machine learning/AI related disciplines at TUM or LMU, so make sure that you apply to that in parallel to the application to relAI. Most master application deadlines are end of May. Offers will be made subject to acceptance into such a program. So no need to worry if you are not accepted before submitting your relAI application.

The application deadline for our 2024 cohort of PhD students with positions funded by relAI ended in January (January 15, 2024 23:59 AoE). We will accept new applications for funded PhD students in the December 2024/January 2025.
Applicants who have passed our first round of screening were contacted for interviews in January / February 2024.
