Tobias Mascetta joined the Cyber-Physical System Group as a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Althoff in May 2023. He got his bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering at TU Darmstadt and his master degree in Mechatronics and Robotics at TU Munich. His research focuses on AI-enabled motion planning and real-world applications of motion planners on EDGAR.

Deep-learning based Motion Planning
I focus on learning-based and learning-assisted behavior making and motion planning for autonomous robotic navigation, especially autonomous driving. Herein, my current goal is to develop methods that work both in a single-agent use-case for real-world motion planning and in a multi-gent use-case for testing and verifying motion planning and behavior algorithms in closed-loop testing.
