Stefan obtained a Bachelor of Mathematics from LMU Munich and a Master of Mathematics at the Technical University of Berlin. Currently, he is pursuing a Computer Science Ph.D. at LMU Munich. His research focuses on interpretable machine learning. A common theme in his PhD research is to use ideas and tools from sparse representations, such as wavelets and dictionary learning, for interpretable machine learning. Next to his interpretability research, Stefan also works on privacy-preserving machine learning.
