Nicolas is pursuing his Ph.D. at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Chair of Information-oriented Control. He received his M.Sc. in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich in 2023, following his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
During his studies, he interned at Bosch’s Research and Advanced Engineering Campus and conducted his master’s thesis research at UC Berkeley’s Hybrid Systems Laboratory on multi-agent navigation for autonomous seaweed robotic farms.

Currently, his doctoral research at TUM focuses on data-driven stochastic optimal control and risk-sensitive motion control in uncertain robotic systems. Nicolas is also involved in the Seaclear2.0 project at TUM, which develops a smart grapple to remove heavy litter from the ocean seabed.
