Biosketch
After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree in Statistics at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in China. Bailan came to Germany to pursue a master’s degree in mathematical statistics at LMU. Afterwards, he joined the chair of Database Systems and Data Mining at LMU as Phd to work on the topic “Interpretable Knowledge Graph”. Since September Bailan is a relAI member.

My research centers on developing trustworthy, interpretable, and knowledge-aware generative foundation models, with particular emphasis on vision-language modeling, model safety & red-teaming, and hallucination.
