Biosketch
Malek is a PhD student in the Computer Vision & Learning Group at LMU Munich, supervised by Prof. Björn Ommer. He began his doctoral studies in August 2025. His research focuses on generative models and representation learning for images and videos.
Malek holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). During his studies, he gained research experience at Amazon and Helmholtz Munich, where he worked on language–vision models and medical imaging, respectively.
